Homemade Dry Shampoo

Hey beauties,

Lets make Chemical free Dry Shampoo

I'll start by apologizing for replying to your comments very late. Actually I am going on a small vacation to Mumbai and Shirdi this week so a little occupied with bookings and stuff.
I would love if any of you can suggest what places should I visit, good eating joints ,shopping places and other things. :)
So coming back to today's post, today I am going to talk about a problem which  I know 90% of us suffer from and it always irritates us.

Have you ever gone out of home with dirty and oily looking hair because you got up late and had no time to wash your hair!!

Has it ever happened that you just washed your hair a few hours back but they start looking oily because you were sweating the entire time!!

I have been in both  situation. I have super oily scalp  and sweat a lot.

As you all by now that I hate to use chemicals  and try to substitute it with something natural.
This is my home made dry shampoo:

For light hair:

Powder form :For people with light coloured hair all you need is corn starch . Just rub it  on your scalp and then comb it through.

Liquid form : In 1 cup of warm water mix 1/4 cup of vodka and 1/4 cup of corn starch . Shake it well and spray it on the scape.

For dark hair: We all have had this problem that whenever we spray day shampoo, hair start looking grey. To solve this problem, this is what you can do.

Powder form: Mix equal quantities of  corn starch and coco powder and rub it on your scalp. I prefer to just shake my head and not comb it to take out the extra powder.

I have dark brown hair so i use equal quantities of corn starch and coco powder but you can adjust their quantities .
I like to use the powder version and work it in my hair with my hands, but you can use a old makeup brush to do that.

You can make some and store in a air tight container, it won't go bad.
It has helped me as I generally get up late and also have very oily scalp.
Sometimes I wash hair in morning and by evening I looks as if my hair are very dirty and very oily.
This problem increases in summers.

This remedy is my life saver in these situations and now I sleep even more.. :p

Hope you enjoyed reading and it helps you.

Love ,
Pooja

  7. This is AWESOME! I'm going to pin this. Let me know if you're okay with that. If not, I'll take it down. But really...this is such a great idea. I hate using products with harsh chemicals. That's the reason why I stopped using products like hair spray and gel on a daily basis. I only use coconut oil now :)

Anyway, thanks for sharing this amazing idea!
