Benefits of Eating Sweet Potato

Hello My Sugar Cookies,

So Winter is almost here, though I am not a big fan of it but I do love that it brings along sweet potato's . I love them in every form, roasted, seasoned and even cooked. Sweet Potato is a super healthy vegetable, it will keep you warm and you can snack on it without any guilt.
So today we will be talking about benefits of eating sweet potato.

Best part about winter is the fresh green veggies and fruits, I wrote a list of Vegetables to Eat in Winter and their health benefits. Sweet Potato is a part of that list , because I love it so much I though why not look into the health benefits in detail.

1) Weight Loss: As it is high in fiber and has high water content, it fill up the stomach and curbs you diet. This way it ends up loosing weight.

2) Helps In Stress Management:Sweet potatoes with manganese and iron can help in relaxing mind and works as a great stress buster.

3)Prevents Cancer: They prevent- cancer cell growth and thus can avoid the risk of developing breast cancer among pre-menopausal women and also ovarian cancer among post-menopausal women.

4)  Improves Digestion: Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber which is required for a healthy digestive tract and proper digestion.

5) Prevents Heart Diseases: Potassium in sweet potatoes controls the blood pressure and regulates the heart rhythm. it also helps in proper functioning of nervous system

Isn't it cool that Sweet Potato not only is yummy but also super healthy. So have this healthy desert and keep fit.

  7. My mom makes a mashed version of sweet potatoes. Just add a tinge of salt & pepper. It's super healthy.
