Hello Guys,
One thing that I know for sure is that our parents are always right. When they say , you will understand it later, they really mean it. My mum always said one day you will fall in live with Indian wear and gorgeous Indian jewelry. And here I am, all loaded tip to too in chandbalis, nose ring, bangles and a lengha.
So, start from start. I have never been a very Indian wear kind if a girl. Loved Doing it one in a blue moon but never anything heavy, jewelry was a big no no.
My mum always explained to me how pretty suits, sarees and lenghas look paired with jewelry , but I was a stubborn child. The discussion always ended with my saying ' you will understand the beauty of it all one day'.
Of course I never paid much attention to it and went went for simple Indian wear and no jewelry what-so-ever.
And by the way, this dialogue of mum's is kind of staple, they say that for so many things. With every passing day, I have realised how right mum's are, I can totally get every small little detail my mum told me about.
In last few years, I love for Indian wear and jewelry has gown a bit every single day. Every time I buy something to add to my traditional's collection, my mum has this smile on her face, then nods her head. I know in her mind she is saying ' I told you'!
Recently I came across the gorgeous Indian Jewelry collection on T&J boutique, the beautiful chandbalis, delicate nose ring and mang tika totally won my heart. They have a huge collection of mugal inspired jewelry in both silver and gold. Remember my silver chandbalus from Glorious Indian History ! They were also from T&J Boutique.
This time I went all out, in addition to chandbalis, nose ring and mang tika, wore a beautiful bangle and necklace with a net lengha. For a Big Fat Indian Wedding this is a perfect indian wedding guest outfit.
Just a bit curious to know, do you like your traditional wear!
