How To keep Sports Shoes Clean

These days life revolves around fitness. Some people like to go to the gym and others like to play sports. But before we get involved in any of it, we need to make sure we have good shoes. 1. Remove shoelaces and wash them separately. (You can wash these in the machine too – however, removing them will prevent everything from getting tangled).
2. Wash lace in warm soapy water and hang up to dry.

4. Use a homemade paste dish soap and baking soda for cleaning inside the shoes. This paste will lift out odors and leave the shoes nice and clean.

6. Read the manufacturer’s instructions – if shoes are machine washable, place them inside a mesh laundry bag and wash on a cool cycle. Wash your shoe laces in the same way. If shoes are not machine washable, wash them in a bucket full of cool water for best results.

7. To dry, insert newspaper into the shoes to absorb moisture and leave somewhere warm and airy.

8. If the smell is very bad, spray some fabric deodorizer inside the shoe. It is most likely that this will leave the shoes smelling nice again. However, don't use this in place of removing bacteria by scrubbing, or the odor will soon re-establish itself and there is a risk the bacteria will harm the skin on your feet.

9. Wash Sports shoes at least every two weeks if they're used regularly.
