How to De-stress!

Hello Guys,

With this fast moving life, stress can get to us very easily. Nobody has time to stop and think about others or even about their own life. If you are confusing in how to de-stress, then here are a few steps to relieve stress easily:

1. Sleep Sleep Sleep- As soon as you feel, you are getting a little overwhelming and your brain can't just think straight, just roll into your bed and try to sleep. Take a nap and when you wake up, your mind will be at peace.

2. Put your phone on silent and in another corner of the room; Smartphones might be smart enough to entertain you but when you ate stressed, the pressure of replying back to texts, the beeps of wassup messages and checking emails adds to stress. So just put your phone on silent.


3. Watch your preferred movie or TV series on Netflix: Once the phone is on silent, watch a movie/TV show of your preference on Netflix or Amazon Prime. I like to watch comedies, chick-flicks and rom-coms. While watching a movie, we generally get super engrossing and forget about the world.


4. Sit in a rocking chair or a swing: the mild exercise of rocking in a rocking chair can release endorphins, improve mood, and even reduce pain.


5. Put on some music: Music immediately relaxes the mind and soul. Now you don't have to go for a slow track only, pick whatever you like, be it pop or Punjabi.


6. Eat a snack: Not asking you to stress eat but grab something to munch on, this really calms one down. Make a big bowl of popcorn and keep munching it along with your movie.


7. Meet your Best Friend: the mild exercise of rocking in a rocking chair can release endorphins, improve mood, and even reduce pain.


8. Write it down: If you are stressed and are confused on what is causing it, or you have a lot of anger piled in, just write whatever you have in your mind down in a diary or in your phone notes.


9. Drink a lot of water: Chug down a lot of water, it soothes one and gets that means your brain will start functioning too.


10. And if nothing works, start planning a vacation: Yes, if you have been stressed for days or months then you need a vacation so start looking for a holiday destination. Check out my post 'Signs you need a Vacation'.
