My Engagement Food Menu- Veg/Non Veg Buffet at Shangri-La

Hello Guys,

As you guys know I got engaged on 1st July at Shangri-La New Delhi for which we hosted a Lunch Buffet. I thought I would share my Veg-Non Veg Lunch Buffet Menu to help you guys give an idea as to how to design the menu and pick the right dishes to cater to everyone in the party.

Here is what we have for our guests :
Starters 


1) Fish Fingers with Tartar sauce 
2) Murg malai Tikka (soft)
3) Chicken Satay with peanut sauce
4) Tomato and mozzarella bruschetta 
5) Mini veg spring roll
6) Kaju ki malai tikki 
7) Paneer tikka Soups 
8) Slow oven roasted bellpepper and tomato soup 
9) Chicken lemon coriander soup 
10) Salads Organic Salad bar with a selection of greens and salad vegetables with a choice of dressings 
11)Aloo papdt chaat 
12) Masaledar Fruit Chaat (mild in taste and keep masala on side) 
13) Pasta Salad with peppers and pesto mayonnaise 
14) Hummus and Babaganouj with pita 
15) Curd Mix veg raita 
16) Dahi bhalla 

Main course 
1) Grilled Fish with Lemon Butter sauce and cherry tomato compote 
2) Kadhai Murg 
3) Paneer Lababdar 
4) Kaju Matar makhana 
5) Aloo Gobhi matar

6) Veg Thai Green Curry with Jasmine rice 
7) Vegetable Manchurian with gravy 
8) Dal
9) Dal Makhani 
10) Pindi Chana 
11) All Accompaniments Assorted Indian Breads (Kulcha Must) 

Rice/Noodles 
1) Awadhi subz briyani 
2) Veg Hakka noodles 


Desserts 
1) Malpua with Rabri 
2) Kulfi (assorted flavours) 
3) Steamed chocolate walnut pudding 
4) Fresh Fruit Gateaux 
5) Ice cream - Vanilla, Avocado (Chocolate sauce & nuts to be provided)

Soft Beverage is including in the package ( Aerated Water,
Pasteurized Juices, Mineral Water, Mocktails, Soda, Tea/Coffee)

LIQUOR
1) JW Black label
2) Scotch, Chivas Regal
3) Vodka, Absolut 750 Ml
4) Bacardi
5) Kingfisher Premium if available
6) Heineken if available
(All cocktail ingredients to be ready in bar)

The food menu totally worked for our engagement function, out guests loved the variety. Have to give special credits to the Jigyasa from team Shangri-La to helps us design the lunch menu. She gave full attention to our little needs like masala to be kept along with fruits, the texture of meat we wanted and another small thing that we wanted for the menu. She sat with us for the entire food tasting session and gave her suggestion on what to be included from a professionals point o view that it was really helpful.


We had initially finalised on 3-4 fewer items but keeping in mind the pairing and logic, Jigyasa increased the menu without any extra cost.
